Five Things to Know About the ANA Show

If you're in Philadelphia, make sure to stop by the NGC booth to see some amazing numismatic items.

If you're at the World's Fair of Money this week in Philadelphia, here are five big things to check out:

1. Collectibles Authentication Guaranty™ (CAG™) will present selections from the Armstrong Family Collection at NGC Booth #1417 through Friday afternoon. Includes are medals, flags and other items that were flown to the moon. Read more here.

2. NGC has certified the most famous of all mint errors, the Don Lutes, Jr. Philadelphia 1943 Bronze Cent. It will be at the NGC booth until noon Thursday, and then move over to the Heritage Auctions booth. Read more here

Described as "the discovery of a lifetime," NGC has authenticated and graded as NGC XF 45 the fourth-known 1854-S Half Eagle.

3. Two NGC-graded coins are at center stage on Heritage Auctions' Platinum Night sale on Thursday, including a recently discovered 1854-S $5. Bidding for this extraordinarily rare piece is already in the seven figures. Read more here.

4. Renowned numismatist Mark Salzberg will offer free collector consultations on Thursday from 2 to 3 p.m. at NGC Booth #1417. Read more here.

5. NGC is offering on-site grading and encapsulation of most US coins until noon Friday. (Note: The cut-off time may change depending on volume.) Read more here. PMG is also grading on site.
