Hello Folks-- This "second set" of mine is basically all NGC's fault. Whoever was responsible for the "new" point scoring system definitely gave the "lower graded" "early dated" Walkers a more well deserved chance within the series. At least it motivated this one Walker guy to assemble this second set.
About 2 years ago, on my set description for my "first" set, I thought that I would be done that set by the end of that 2007 calender year. But, the "right" coins have not come along. It is not that coins have not appeared----plenty of them---just not ones that are acceptable for that set.
So, recently I decided to put forth the effort at this second set. Afterall, I did have the vast majority of the necessary coins at hand.
And, now that my dear wife takes much better pictures, I figured that while still searching for certain coins, she and I could slowly take the necessary pictures over the next few months---that would help to show off some of the first set's coins while also allowing me to put up pictures of this set's coins. Thus, I could use these coins to all their educational value---both as to grading as well as the quality of strike---and the quality of the surfaces of certain pieces. For example, if one looks at this set---as of now---I think that there are 9 coins graded higher in this set than in my first set. But, for one reason or another, I like the other coin to be in my first set. Mostly, that is because those other coins have more "originality" but the reasons do vary.
Some "special" Walkers to look at in this set are the following: 1916S-- 1919--1919D--1921--1921D--1928S--1933S--1936--1937D--1944D
