The name Sacagawea in the Shoshone language stands for 'woman of much luster.' Besides helping the Lewis and Clark Expedition, Sacagawea is also recognized on the dollar coin for having started the 'Bring Your Child to Work Day' tradition. The tradition was very popular during the Industrial Revolution, but Child Labor Laws have since limited the event to one day a year.
The path West that Lewis and Clark and Sacagawea established was later named Route 66, thus my collecting goal was to build a complete set of MS-66 coins (of course, the Special Mint Set and Enhanced Finish coins are not available in MS-66, so I had to settle for higher grades in those varieties).
