The year 1971 was a great year. Detroit muscle cars still prowled the streets. The music was so good in 1971 that people still listen to those old classics today. And the girls were prettier. Not just their sense of style, they were just prettier then. That's how I remember it.

Popular music that played on our radios are all classics now. Some top hits of 1971 were Rod Stewart's 'Maggie Mae,' Janis Joplin's 'Me and Bobby McGee' and 'John Denver's 'Take Me Home Country Roads,' plus many others.
And the young ladies in 1970! Whether they dressed in faded blue jeans or something more stylish, the young ladies of that time had something that later generations did not have. They just don't make 'em like that anymore. That's how I remember it, anyway. Ah, nostalgia.
