The name Sacagawea in the Shoshone language stands for 'woman of much luster.' Besides helping the Lewis and Clark Expedition, Sacagawea is also recognized on the dollar coin for having started the 'Bring Your Child to Work Day' tradition. The tradition was very popular during the Industrial Revolution, but Child Labor Laws have since limited the event to one day a year.
Concerning this collection, the first four coins were purchased as a set on Ebay on December 6, 2003.
