This set is my way of enjoying the history of the U.S. half dollar, using pieces already in my collection with the option to add better pieces or new types as I go. The goal is not to "fill slots" nor to chase registry rankings—but rather just to build a set that I genuinely enjoy.
I’ve selected coins that stand out to me: some are higher grade, others are more modest, but each has something I appreciate—whether that’s nice toning, a strong strike, good luster, or just overall eye appeal.
This set is a work in progress - I may upgrade pieces and I may add new types over time. The goal is to keep improving the set while staying focused on quality and pieces that feel right. At the end of the day, this set is about enjoying the variety, design, and history of the half dollar.
