The Mercury Dime has always been my favorite piece of American silver. Before I ever joined this Registry, I was a high-volume collector. I set a goal to fill a 2,500-count Guardhouse box with nothing but Mercury silver—and I hit it.
After handling that much silver, I decided I wanted something to work toward that was more about quality than just quantity. That’s why I’m here. My goal isn't necessarily to own the highest-graded coin in existence; it’s about the hunt for the best deal.
I’m building this set on a budget, focusing on price-per-point efficiency. I look for the grades and varieties that give me the biggest jump in the standings for the best price I can find. I’m not just buying a label; I’m looking for the coins that belong in a solid, competitive set without overpaying for "book value."
