NGC 1968-D MS64 PL (PROOF LIKE) KENNEDY HALF DOLLAR
I am always looking for a coin that is different, unique or RARE. A 1968 Proof-Like (PL) Kennedy Half Dollar qualifies in all 3 ways.
This coin points to a frustrating problem with Registry Sets . Sometimes the value attached to a certain coin may not accurately reflect the true uniqueness and scarcity of that coin.
Often the Price Guide value of a certain coin given in the price guide does not accurately reflect the real world monetary value. The same can often be said for the registry points value assigned a low pop coin.
That being said, it's understandable how hard it would be to keep up with the value of every coin out there, especially a coin that is so scarce that it seems to be flying under the radar of the general collecting community. I can appreciate the uniqueness of this coin despite it's seemingly low register value.
