This archive documents the Evolution of the Unit of One. By tracking every major type from the Copper age to the Gold 'Page 5' absolute, we are observing the shifting resolution of the American experiment. We track the physical weight as it moved from the heavy Copper Large Cents to the 'Gold Standards' of the 19th and 20th centuries, and finally into the debased 'Zinc and Nickel' hardware of the modern era.
While others view this as a 'Type Set,' we view it as a Metallurgical Autopsy. It is the only set capable of showing the exact moment the 'Unbroken Circuit' was compromised.
