My first experience with this coin was when I was Eight years old. My school lunch cost a Quarter and my Father handed me one of these coins, I told him this is not the right coin, I was looking for a Washington Quarter. He told me that it is the Quarter Dollar before the Washington Quarter, and that when he was eight this was the Quarter of that day. I saved the Quarter and exchange it with one of the Washington Quarter in my piggy bank.
I purchase a Wittman Coin Folder and began collecting Standing Liberty Quarters.
This was my Dad's favorite Quarter and mine too.
