This quote from Franklin has always been one of my favorites in business, and my fondness for him because of this (and so many other things) has led me to have the Franklin 50C be my most collected coin. That is not to put aside the simplicity and timelessness of both sides, or the wide range of beauty you get from the bright strikes of the proofs and the wide range of toning seen across the years of the set.
My goal with this 'Basics Set' is to have MS66 or higher across all slots, with as many plus, top pop, and CAC designations as possible. Grabbing 66 and above is a challenging feat for Franklins, with the total populations graded at NGC being 25 slabs or less in more than half of the dates in this set. This has made the process all the more challenging and fun, and I have gotten to hunt for some beautiful pieces along the way.
I've added some low-count 'Top Pops' to my set here, which I am very proud of. And I will continue to build as I seek to have only 66 and up on the board!
