Artex (the Hungarian export company) contracted with the Hungarian mint to produce and export restrikes including these 5 pengő coins in the mid 1960s. A cache of original coins and dies were found by the mint, from which the Artex restrikes were produced.
Most of the coins in this set are either restrikes of patterns for unreleased coins, or are restrikes of earlier version patterns of coins that were ultimately released. Several are restrikes of the business strikes.
