This set honors my late father, Dr. W.H.C. While my dad was not a coin collector, he instilled in me values such as hard word, the importance of education, and loyalty. Born in 1949, my dad was a kid during the time of the Franklin Half Dollar. It's been said that the Franklin Half Dollar series is an underrated series, and I happen to agree with this sentiment. Franklin Half Dollars can be very beautiful, and I have found that there are a lot of nuances with collecting this series. Some dates and mint marks are extremely difficult to find beautifully toned, while others are very difficult to find in blast-white condition. I happen to love both, and have tried to focus on rarity and eye appeal, not just the grade. Special thanks goes out to Rick Tomaska and his daughter Caitlin for getting me interested in this series. My aim is to acquire coins at least at a MS 65 grade or higher, preferably with FBL. Please enjoy.
