This series of U.S. five cent pieces has the world famous 1913 nickel.This coin should not have been produced because it was being replaced that year with the new Buffalo Five Cent piece.But some unscrupulous person at the mint was able to use a 1913 Liberty Nickel die that had been made that year and struck five examples of the coin.I hope to add to my set of cause without a 1913 example.
