22 different coins make up a complete 1880 Mint Set. The possibility of a collector completing this set are relatively good as only one coin, the 1880 Shield Nickel with a pop of 163 grading submissions can be considered as rare. Six other coins in the set have low enough populations to be considered elusive. The two most expensive coins in MS-63 grade are the 1880-CC $5 Half Eagle ($50,000) and the 1880 $20 Double Eagle ($40,000).
