A weak economy and a surplus of coins struck in prior years resulted in the mint reducing production in 1877, Indianhead cent production was small and except for a few proofs, no three cent or five cent coins were produced for commerce. The rarest three coins in this set are the $10, $5 and $3 gold pieces struck at the Philadelphia Mint. The $10 and $20 Carson City Gold pieces are among the most expensive coins in the set.
Some of the better coins in my set are:
Fewest (100) grading submissions - 1877 AU-58 $3 Gold piece
Most valuable - 1877 AU-58 $3 Gold piece
Best eye appeal - 1877 MS-64 Red and Brown Indianhead cent
