It takes 29 coins to complete this very difficult mint set. The 1876-CC Twenty Cent Piece is by far the most expensive and difficult coin to find. The price guide listing for a MS-63 coin is $350.000. Only about 20 pieces in all grades are believed to exist. The second and third rarest coins in the set are the 1876 Gold Half Eagle and Gold Eagle coins, both with an estimated 40-50 examples known.
Some of the better coins in my set are:
Fewest (241) Grading Submissions - 1876 AU-55 Gold Quarter Eagle
Most Valuable - 1876-S AU-58 Gold Quarter Eagle
Best eye appeal - 1876 MS-63 Trade Dollar
