The 1867 Mint Set, struck just two years after the end of the Civil War, teems with scarce and rare issues. Only 7 or the 25 coins needed to complete this set can be considered relatively easy to locate. The three dates with the lowest populations are the 1867 Gold Quarter Eagle, 1867-S Gold Eagle and the 1867-S Silver Quarter, with populations of 77, 77 and 106 coins respectively.
