John Mercanti and other dignitaries have signed many different signature labels with NGC such as the Reagan Label, the US Flag Label, the Blue Label, and so on. Also, there is a privately owned and very low population label released through NGC known as the "U.S. Mint Engraver Series" label. Amazingly, the total number of U.S. Mint Engraver Series labels issued by NGC for American Silver Eagles from 1986 through 2021 are minuscule in comparison to the total number of either the U.S. Flag Labels or the Blue Labels or even the Reagan Labels produced by NGC in the year of 2021 alone!! And since 2021, the U.S. MES label remains as one of the lowest population signature labels released by NGC.
As a point of interest, almost all varieties of NGC's U.S. Mint Engraver Series labels that appear on T-1 uncirculated (burnished) American Silver Eagles are revealed in this collection. For example, all three varieties of NGC's U.S. MES label found on 2006-W & 2011-W burnished ASEs are presented in this assembly. See images & slot descriptions for 2006-W & 2011-W.
