This set was started in 1999 with an emphasis on blast white gem coins. A majority of these coins are in PCGS holders however the NGC coins are their equal in all regards.
I finally achieved my goal of a complete set of early commemoratives (including the Norse Medals of 1925) in 2003. This also happens to be the first time I have ever seen a complete set of these wonderful and interesting coins.
Future plans are to upgrade some of the MS 64 coins to 65.
Finding original blast white coins with slight edge/rim toning has become a monumental task. The most difficult sub group in this set are the Arkansas coins followed closely by the Washington Carvers.
