Beginning in the mid 1990’s going forward, I took my collecting to a higher level. Possibly trying to make up for lost time? Had actually stepped away from the hobby for a couple dozen years. This began a steady buying spree that has continued unabated to the present. All extra available funds have gone into this hobby that I love. Mostly gold.
I love this Liberty design in all denominations. Here are a few half eagles I picked up not for rarity, but just because I liked them at different times. The way the coin looked. The way it made me feel. The price. All these things lined up on each piece. Really a great feeling. Each and every time.
If these coins could speak, what a story they could tell. About times long ago.
I love the history. I love the design.
