Over the years I have acquired at least one of each date and mint of Liberty Seated dimes except for the rare "CC" coins dated from 1871 to 1874. Only the few to be included here are eligible for this registry set. Most are uncertified and reside in an old blue Whitman Bookshelf album, itself a rarity. The album coins range in grade from Good to Uncirculated. They include Louis Eliasberg's 1859-S (Choice Very Fine but lightly hairlined) and two coins from the John Jay Pittman Collection--a lightly burnished AU 1842 that Pittman bought as a "proof" and an 1856-S with Fine or better detail but a few small pits.
The coins that I am presently able to share with you include some better dates (1866 and 1885-S) and mint state pieces. For a proof 1865 and an 1867 certified as a proof but likely a circulation strike, as well as an 1888 of indeterminate status, see "Sandon's Seated Dimes Certified as Proofs".
