* 1st-ever (?) coin collection for dates that match memorable historical events or people in the Bahá'í Faith.
Founded in 1844 in Persia with the Declaration of the Báb, meaning the Gate, continuing in 1863 with the Declaration of Bahá'u'lláh, meaning the Glory of God, Bahá'ís believe two successive "Manifestations" of God brought guidance for humanity’s development and progress today.
Included are the lives of its Central Figures:
1) Bahá'u'lláh 2) the Báb 3) 'Abdu'l-Bahá
Also included: Shoghi Effendi, the Guardian of the Cause; Apostles & Hands of the Cause of God; the Universal House of Justice, an elected assembly of nine persons tasked as the Head of the Faith and its world administrators; and Institutions chartered to assist an ever-advancing civilization based on the reality and truth of one human family.
Plus, a few personal dates, like 1971 and 1972 when my mom and dad became this family's first Bahá'ís, brother and sisters birthdays, as well as Mojgan's (my better three-fourths) family's five-generations of believers in God's latest message to humanity!
We are now advancing, inevitably and whether consciously or unconsciously, willingly or unwillingly, toward world peace and goodwill for all, i.e. fulfillment of the promise in all religions -- basically, the good guys win in the end! ;-)
The essence of the Bahá'í Revelation is attested in these words of Bahá'u'lláh:
"O contending peoples and kindreds of the earth! Set your faces towards unity, and let the radiance of its light shine upon you. Gather ye together, and for the sake of God resolve to root out whatever is the source of contention amongst you. Then will the effulgence of the world’s great Luminary envelop the whole earth, and its inhabitants become the citizens of one city, and the occupants of one and the same throne. . .
There can be no doubt whatever that the peoples of the world, of whatever race or religion, derive their inspiration from one heavenly Source, and are the subjects of one God."
