The Boyhood Dream Proof Set Collection includes a complete set of Proof 1950-64 Lincoln Cents, in the highest grades an Average Joe can afford. It's the highest ranking set of Post-War Proof Lincoln Cents in the NGC Registry that doesn't include any cameos. Very few of the Proof Cents that were minted between 1950-55 have survived in the highest Red grades. Only ones that were stored and handled properly over the years have retained their original Red luster.
In the highest Red grades, Proof Cents from the early years of this series are getting expensive. But in slightly lower grades, even entry-level collectors can afford to own nice specimens. Because of copper’s volatility, NGC only guarantees grades they assign to copper coinage for 10 years. Before you buy NGC-slabbed Cents — make sure to check the grade-guarantee expiration date on the NGC Verify page!
INTERESTING FACT - In all of the collections in the NGC Registry, there are only a couple 1950 & 1951 Lincoln Cents that are graded Proof 68. This collection has premium examples of both!
