In honor of my Uncle who served in the Army during WWII in the Pacific. He was on a convoy supplying the war in the pacific and his ship was sunk and he was in the water for 24 hours before rescue. A Western Telegram came saying he was missing. During this time my grandmother wrote a song titled 'When Blue Star turns to Gold'. It was a very traumatic time for my grandmother as her sons and son-in-laws served the country.
The focus is on eye-appeal since the toning of these coins has created some beauties. The silver content has provided us with some eye-popping specimens like found in the Appalachians. The goal is have a complete set of MS 67 STAR examples.
