East Tennessee is steeped with history and legend since the early days of the United States. Few in the history of this state are greater than the pioneer, Daniel Boone. It seems fitting that I would create a set of attractive coins worthy of his name since I live so close to some of his old stomping grounds. In fact, he carved an inscription in a tree after he "cilled a bar" in 1760 not far from my own house and hid from indians in a nearby creek!
