Dollar Presidential Series Coins in Regular and Reverse Proof dollar coins. A large number of complete regular proofs are available. This is not true for the reverse proofs found in the Coin and Chronicles sets issued by the US Mint in a special holder accompanied by a booklet, postage stamp and medal(s). The low total mintage for these reverse proof coins coupled with poor production quality result grading rarities that drastically limit the possible number of all 70 sets. The 4 key coins RP70 with the number of NGC TOP POPs are Johnson (14), Eisenhower (15), Truman (108), and Kennedy (185). If collecting the "Presidents in Proof" becomes popular in the future these will become valuable condition rarities. (as of Feb 2024)
