An ongoing effort to secure the best example that I can afford of each date, and major variety, issued between 1839 and 1857. Although this date set is complete, I will be slowly replacing some coins with better examples as I try to fill in the major varieties (of which some, e.g., 1842 Small Date,1851/81 and 1855 Knob on Ear, are presented here). All the images are my pictures, and all but two of these coins have been CAC approved for grade!
