I'd accumulated a handful of the dimes in this collection over the years, but my interest in Barber dimes just started over the past 2 years. I'm discovering that, unlike most other series I collect, finding examples with eye-appeal is challenging, even in the higher grades. There are some gorgeous coins in this set but, unfortunately, some regrets as well.
Relative to the populations and compared to other series, Barbers appear to be significantly undervalued, at least at present. Nevertheless, I'm working the set one coin at a time and trying to get the most coin possible for the dollar. Not wild about the Barber series (thus no quarters or halves), so I'm setting my sights generally at 64-65 (02/13).
