22 coins are required to complete the 1894 Mint Set. While there are no super rarities, there are 13 different dates and mints that have NGC slab populations of less than 375 pieces. The two hardest to locate coins, (not necessarily the two most expensive) are the 1894-O Barber Quarter (NGC pop 159 pieces) and the 1894-S Eagle (NGC pop 168 pieces). The small mintage of 1894-S Eagles all went into circulation and no uncirculated pieces higher than MS-62 are known. MS-62's trade for about $14,500, the highest priced coin in the set.
