20 coins are needed to complete this set. I was surprised to discover that there are no coins that are rare based on the NGC population figures. The two coins with the lowest NGC census numbers are the 1916-S Barber Dime (NGC pop of 372 pieces) and the 1916 Barber quarter (NGC pop of 477 pieces). The two most expensive coins in the middle uncirculated grades are the 1916-D Mercury Dime (NGC pop of 4,916 pieces in all grades) and the 1916 Standing Liberty Quarter (NGC pop of 921 pieces in all grades). These last two coins retail for about $31,000 for the pair in MS-63 grade.
