This set contains coins from PCGS, NGC, ANACS, Hallmark, ICG and PCI (1st gen holders). As time permits, the coins in the set will be regraded through NGC and PCGS.
My set objective was to assemble a "budget" date-mintmark set of Morgan dollars consisting of AU-MS64 quality coins with above avaerage strikes and luster. PL/DPL coins were sought when available. Some of the rarer coins in the set include a 92-O in AU58-PL, 93-P in AU58-PL, 94-P in AU58-PL, a 95-O in MS60-PL, a 96-O in AU58 PL, 04-S in AU58-PL, 83-S in AU55-PL, 84-S in AU58-PL, 86-O in AU58-PL, and a 01-S in MS63-PL. Other PL coins in the set include a 80/79-O in 63, 99-S in 63, a 91-P in 63 and an 00-S in 63.
I have quoted information and attributed the authors of Morgan Dollar reference books in some of my descriptions below. I urge anyone with an interest in prooflike dollars to consider the purchase of these books as they have helped me understand and appreciate the challenges of building this set.
