Starting in 2010, the reverse of the Lincoln Cent switched from the Memorial to the Union Shield. The obverse continues to display the 1909 Lincoln profile designed by Vincent D Brenner, refurbished to bring back some original details. I really enjoy the new reverse, and find it very fitting, as the Union Shield was a common symbol during the Civil War. I am a bit disappointed that the obverse was not updated with a side view of Lincoln (similar to the new Jefferson design on the Nickel) which would have made the coin look and feel much more modern.
This set contains the finest examples of these coins, all being graded PF70 Ultra Cameo.
