I started this labor of love in November of 2010. A mere 7 months later I was able to have completed a set of the SMS dollars in grade MS69. Below is the order in which I acquired the coins, and the respective total NGC and PCGS combined populations. The last four coins (those from years 2009 and 2010) were hard to get a hold of. With the help of many sellers, and some luck (the 2009-D has a story!) this set came together. This set is my "baby" and pride and joy.
I hope that some day the SMS/Satin strike coins of 2005-2010 are recognized for their beauty and scarcity in high grades akin to the love for proof coins that is currently so strong.
I updated all of the photographs on June 3, 2011 so that all coins were captured using the same camera settings, the same lighting, and the same color/white balance. I have tried to capture them to the truest level as I could, showing their beauty and the few blemishes among the coins.
