CDR-Gold Dollars Mint Set

I have obtained both coin sizes and all three type coins of this set series. I also have bought some Type I gold dollars in open and closed wreath styles from both the Philadelphia and New Orleans mints as a mechanism to get started.
The next goal is to acquire types of gold dollars to include all of the three mint coins which I do not have (S,C,D) and were involved in the coining of these dollars, most critically the 1954-S gold dollar. Plus I really want to find a specimen for my 1879 Mint Set. I am having diffficulty finding this coin because of scarcity and few coins that are less than MS64 of the survivors. The focus of acquisitions for this set will be on acquiring Type one gold dollars.
I do not expect to even ever even approach completing this entire set. Some of the date/MM coins of the gold dollar issues are very low volume and difficult to acquire. I really have a liking for these tiny coins and would have a ball collecting more of them as I can find specimens.
My plan is to search for interesting specimens and acquire those which fill a need in me for a particular coin and or type of gold dollar.
