Künker Sale Features Rare Roman Coins Certified by NGC Ancients

A Roman gold coin certified by Numismatic Guaranty Company™ (NGC®) is the top lot offered in an upcoming German auction of ancient coins. Online bidding is already underway for Künker‘s Auction 365, which concludes April 4, 2022.
A Roman Empire Caracalla, AD 198-217 Gold Aureus graded NGC Ancients Ch AU★, 5/5 Strike and 3/5 Surface with Fine Style (lot 5399) has an estimate of €50,000 (about $54,500). The obverse displays a portrait of Emperor Caracalla, who ruled from AD 198 to AD 217. The reverse features a portrait of his parents, Emperor Septimius Severus and Julia Domna.
