NGC-certified Group of Italian Gold Coins Expected to Realize Six Figures

A group of four Italian gold coins certified by Numismatic Guaranty Company™ (NGC®) is the top lot in a pair of auctions presented by Numismatica Ars Classica NAC. Bidding for Auction 129 and Auction 130 is underway and will conclude December 1 and 2, 2021.
The group of four Italy 1926R gold coins has an estimate of €150,000 (about $171,000). They include a 100 Lire graded NGC MS 65+, a 50 Lire graded NGC MS 65, a 20 Lire graded NGC MS 66 and a 10 Lire graded NGC MS 63 (Auction 129, lot 247). The obverse of each shows King Victor Emmanuel III, who ruled from 1900 to 1946, while the reverse shows a plowwoman (or “aratrice”).

- an Italy 1861T B 2 Lire graded NGC MS 64 (Auction 129, lot 6) with an estimate of €30,000 (about $34,100)
- an Italy 1902R Gold 20 Lire With Anchor graded NGC 63 PL (Auction 129, lot 192) with an estimate of €30,000 (about $34,100)
- an Italy 1903R 100 Lire graded NGC MS 64 DPL (Auction 129, lot 197) with an estimate of €30,000 (about $34,100)
- an Italy 1937R XVI 100 Lire graded NGC MS 66 (Auction 129, lot 332) with an estimate of €30,000 (about $34,100)
- an Italy 1864T BN 100 Lire graded NGC MS 63 (Auction 129, lot 44) with an estimate of €20,000 (about $22,700)
- an Italy 1878R 100 Lire graded NGC AU 58 (Auction 129, lot 109) with an estimate of €20,000 (about $22,700)
