NGC-Certified Rare Coins From Straits Settlements Featured in Monetarium Auction

Two Straits Settlements coins certified by Numismatic Guaranty Company™ (NGC®) are among the highlights of an auction presented by Monetarium (Singapore) Private Limited, one of the region's leading rare coin and banknote specialists. Bidding is already underway for the Winter Auction, which is divided into seven daily sessions, from December 3-9, 2021.
The sale includes a Straits Settlements 1876H 5 Cents graded NGC MS 62 (Day 3, lot 3013) with an estimate of SGD23,000 to SGD27,000 (about $17,000 to $19,900 USD). Also featured is an impressive mint error, a Straits Settlements 1920 Silver Dollar graded NGC Mint Error AU 55 - Struck 10% Off Center (Day 7, lot 7023) with an estimate of SGD12,000 to SGD13,000 (about $8,800 to $9,600 USD).

- a Malaysia 1976 Gold 500 Rupiah graded NGC MS 64 (Day 3, lot 3004) with an estimate of SGD5,000 to SGD6,000 (about $3,700 to $4,400 USD)
- a group of four China 1981 coins (Bronze Age Creature Gold 200 Yuan, Bronze Age Leopard Gold 200 Yuan, Bronze Age Rhinoceros Gold 400 Yuan, Bronze Age Elephant Gold 800 Yuan) graded NGC PF 69 Ultra Cameo to NGC PF 70 Ultra Cameo (Day 3, lot 3051) with an estimate of SGD30,000 to SGD36,000 (about $22,100 to $26,500 USD)
- a group of two Malaysia Bronze Sen (1970 and 1976) graded NGC MS 62 BN and NGC MS 65 RB (Day 6, lot 6003) with an estimate of SGD2,200 to SGD2,400 (about $1,600 to $1,800 USD)
- a Malaya 1961 50 Cents Without Security Edge graded NGC AU Details (Day 7, lot 7074) with an estimate of SGD2,000 to SGD2,300 (about $1,500 to $1,700 USD)
- a British North Borneo 1885H Half Cent graded NGC MS 64 BN (Day 7, lot 7004) with an estimate of SGD1,300 to SGD1,500 (about $1,000 to $1,100 USD)
