NGC Retro Holder Program Is Back for a Limited Time!

Come join the fun as Numismatic Guaranty Company™ (NGC®) continues its 35th anniversary celebration with its ever-popular black Retro Holder, which is reminiscent of NGC’s first coin holder, introduced in 1987 and used for only a few months. Quantities are limited for each coin type and are available only while supplies last.

The holder will be available for the following US coins:

• Silver Eagles
• Gold Eagles
• Platinum Eagles
• Gold Buffaloes
• Palladium Eagles
• Sacagawea Dollars
• Presidential Dollars
• Innovation Dollars

The default label will be NGC 35th Anniversary Label #1777. Submissions must be received by NGC between July 1 and September 30, 2022, subject to availability.

Submission Instructions

• Submit coins under the Modern grading tier or higher.
• Coins MUST be submitted on their own submission form to receive the Retro Holder. “Retro Holder” must be written on the submission form.
• NGC will accept submissions for this special holder at trade shows, but it is not available for on-site grading.
• Submit ReHolders into Retro Holder under the ReHolder service tier and select Special Designation/Label and check Other. Write “Retro Holder” in the space provided.
• The default label will be NGC 35th Anniversary Label #1777.
• All eligible coins must arrive at NGC between July 1, 2022 and September 30, 2022.

NGC Standard Brown #377	Free	By Request. Enter Standard Brown Label #377 on your submission form.

Bulk Submissions

NGC’s First Day of Issue designation and labels are available for select bulk submissions only. To qualify for First Day of Issue, coins must be purchased within one day of the first day that a mint makes a new coin issue available for sale and must be received by NGC or an NGC-approved depository within one week of the release date. NGC will require that the submitter provide adequate evidence (including purchase receipts) to demonstrate the date when the coins were purchased.
