NGC-certified Thailand Coins Highlight April Eur-Seree Auction

The auction held by the country’s largest numismatic firm features both vintage and modern Thailand coins certified by NGC.

A selection of rare Thailand coins certified by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation® (NGC®) is highlighted in an upcoming auction at Thailand’s largest numismatic firm, Eur-Seree Collecting Co. The top NGC-certified lot is a rare 1951 Thailand 1,000 Baht graded NGC MS 61 (lot 3201), with a starting price of THB 600,000 (about $19,500 USD).

Bidding is in progress and open until April 3-4 (Thailand time). Other NGC-certified highlights include:

  • a group of three Thailand (1876-1900) Proof coins: a 1/8 Baht graded NGC PF 66, a ¼ Baht graded NGC PF 67 and 1 Baht graded NGC PF 65 (lot 3145), with an estimate of THB 600,000 (about $19,500)
  • a Thailand 1951 1,000 Baht graded NGC Details (lot 3202), with an estimate of THB 500,000 (about $16,200)
  • a Thailand (1974) Gold Proof 5,000 Baht graded NGC PF 68 Ultra Cameo (lot 3221), with an estimate of THB 220,000 (about $7,100)
  • a Thailand 2007 Gold Engraved Stone in Nordkapp 100th Anniversary commemorative graded NGC PF 69 Ultra Cameo (lot 3346), with an estimate of THB 160,000 (about $5,200)
  • a group of three Thailand 2015 Thai Wildlife Elephant coins: a Silver 200 Baht graded NGC PF 70 Ultra Cameo, a Gold 2,000 Baht graded NGC PF 70 Ultra Cameo and a Gold 4,000 Baht graded NGC PF 70 Ultra Cameo (lot 3369), with an estimate of THB 150,000 (about $4,800)
  • a Thailand 1989 Thai Pavillion Opening in Norway Gold Medal graded NGC PF 62 Ultra Cameo (lot 3276), with an estimate of THB 140,000 (about $4,500)
  • a group of three Thailand (1992) Queen’s 60th Birthday Proofs Baht: a Gold 1,500 Baht graded NGC PF 70 Ultra Cameo, a Gold 3,000 Baht graded NGC PF 70 Ultra Cameo and a Gold 6,000 Baht graded NGC PF 70 Ultra Cameo (lot 3289), with an estimate of THB 140,000 (about $4,500)
  • a Thailand (1997) Gold Rama V Engraved Stone in Nordkapp 90th Anniversary commemorative graded NGC PF 70 Ultra Cameo (lot 3315), with an estimate of THB 140,000 (about $4,500)
  • a 1686 “Siamese Ambassador’s Convoy audience with King Louis XIV of France” commemorative bronze medal graded NGC MS 66 BN (lot 3102), with an estimate of THB 120,000 (about $3,900)
  • a Thailand (1863) 2.5 Baht graded NGC MS 63 (lot 3111A), with an estimate of THB 120,000 (about $3,900)
  • a Thailand (1894) 4 Baht graded NGC MS 63 (lot 3135), with an estimate of THB 120,000 (about $3,900)
  • a Thailand (1876-1900) ¼ Baht graded NGC PF 66 (lot 3146), with an estimate of THB 120,000 (about $3,900)
  • a Thailand 2000 Year of the Dragon Gold 250 Baht graded NGC PF 70 Ultra Cameo (lot 3328), with an estimate of THB 120,000 (about $3,900)
