NGC-Certified Ancient and World Coins Featured in December Auction in Poland

Antykwariat Numizmatyczny Michal Niemczyk, a renowned numismatic auction house in Poland, is offering more than 250 coins certified by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation® (NGC®) in their upcoming sale, ranging from ancients to modern world coins. Online bidding for Christmas Auction 27 is now open for the four sessions, being held December 12-15, 2020.
Among the highlights is a Poland 1692 Danzig 2 Ducat, graded NGC MS 61, with a starting price of 170,000 PLN (about $46,000). The coin features the bust of John III Sobieski, King of Poland from 1674 to 1696, who is perhaps best known for his pivotal role fighting the Ottoman Empire at the Battle of Vienna in 1683, a turning point in European history.
Other NGC-certified highlights include:
- a Poland 1661 DL Danzig Ducat graded NGC MS 62, with a starting price of 29,000 PLN (about $7,800 USD)
- a Poland 1648 GR Taler graded NGC XF 45, with a starting price of 25,000 PLN (about $6,800 USD)
- a Poland 1812 IB Ducat graded NGC MS 61, with a starting price of 15,000 PLN (about $4,100 USD)
- a Poland 1931 5 Zlotys graded NGC MS 62 PL, with a starting price of 15,000 PLN (about $4,100 USD)
- a Germany 1930G Oak Tree 5 Mark graded NGC MS 63, with a starting price of 10,000 PLN (about $2,700 USD)
- a US 1890-CC $20 graded NGC AU 58, with a starting price of 9,000 PLN (about $2,400 USD)
- a Poland 1928-dated Copper 2 Zlotys graded NGC MS 66 RD, with a starting price of 8,000 PLN (about $2,200 USD)
- a Japan M41(1908) 10 Yen graded NGC MS 63, with a starting price of 2,800 PLN (about $760 USD)
- a Poland 1566 Lithuania 3 Groszy graded NGC MS 63, with a starting price of 2,000 PLN (about $540 USD)
- a Poland 1794 MV/MW Grosz graded NGC MS 64 BN, with a starting price of 2,000 PLN (about $540 USD)
