NGC-certified British Gold Rarity Highlights Zurich Sale

Numisor SA of Geneva, Switzerland is offering an array of rare world coins certified by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation® (NGC®) in its upcoming sale in Zurich. NGC has graded 607 of the 669 lots. Online bidding is now open and ends Saturday, October 17, 2020.

One of the finest coins in the sale is a stunning English gold coin certified by NGC that has an estimate of 50,000 CHF to 80,000 CHF (about $54,600 to $87,300 USD). The Great Britain 1820 W&R-179 Gold Pattern 2 Sovereigns graded NGC PF 61 Ultra Cameo is incredibly rare, with only 60 struck. It features George III wearing a laurel crown on the obverse and the hallmark sovereign design, St. George slaying the dragon, on the reverse.

- a Guatemala 1801/797NG-M Gold 8 Escudos graded NGC MS 61, with an estimate of 12,000 CHF to 18,000 CHF (about $13,100 to $19,600 USD)
- a Great Britain 1821 Silver Tertio Crown graded NGC PF 66, with an estimate of 10,000 CHF to 15,000 CHF (about $10,900 to $16,400 USD)
- a Great Britain 1826 Silver Septimo Crown graded NGC PF 63, with an estimate of 10,000 CHF to 15,000 CHF (about $10,900 to $16,400 USD)
- a Spain 1814 Catalonia SF Gold 8 Escudos graded NGC MS 62, with an estimate of 10,000 CHF to 15,000 CHF (about $10,900 to $16,400 USD)
- a Brazil 1724-M Gold 20,000 Reis graded NGC AU 58, with an estimate of 10,000 CHF to 15,000 CHF (about $10,900 to $16,400 USD)
- a China 1914 Y 322, L&M-858 Silver Dollar graded NGC MS 64, with an estimate of 7,000 CHF to 10,000 CHF (about $7,600 to $10,900 USD)
