NGC Registry — Featured British India Set
Posted on 4/14/2020
This month, we are excited to present Mr. Bansal's British India Rupee, 1862-1947, One Per Date & Mint, Circulation Issue set.
With 101 slots to fill, this set may seem a bit overwhelming for some collectors to tackle, but Mr. Bansal has risen to the challenge, consistently working to achieve an impressive 93% completion thus far. Started in May of 2018, this set is consistently updated with the most recent addition in February 2020. What is exceptional about this set is that Mr. Bansal has taken the time to upload obverse and reverse photos for all 93 coins, thereby offering a solid visual presentation of the 85-year span of the British India Rupee. From Queen Victoria in 1862 to King George VI in 1947, the evolution of this historic, business strike coin can be enjoyed and appreciated in Mr. Bansal's photo gallery and slide show. It is well worth the watch.
Thank you for sharing your expansive Rupee collection, D. Bansal. We look forward to seeing your future updates!
Would you like your set to be chosen for a future feature article? 100% completion in a set type is not always feasible. Our team will also feature sets with thoughtful comments and images for all their coins. Perhaps we will choose someone whose set has a personal story behind it or some interesting historical facts. We are looking for those sets where someone has taken the time to make the set unique and a reflection of his/her personal collecting style. It may be your set! Stay tuned.
