Auction World, a prestigious Japanese firm, will offer many world coins certified by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation® (NGC®) in its Auction 18 in Tokyo on October 19-20, 2019. The sale includes coins from around the globe, with a focus on vintage European gold rarities.
The top coin is a Great Britain 1768 2 Guinea Gold Pattern graded NGC PF 65 Cameo with a starting bid of 12,000,000 JPY (about $111,600 USD). Only about 10 examples are known to exist of this pattern, which features a bust of King George III, who ruled Great Britain at the time of the American Revolution.
