NGC Registry – Featured Canada Set

Posted on 10/8/2019

This month’s featured set belongs to THE WELSH DRAGON.

Starting this month, we are featuring one collector’s NGC Registry set every month. This month, we feature THE WELSH DRAGON’s set found here: Loon Dollars, 1987-Date, Specimen Set. This set has been carefully planned and compiled. This collector began filling his set in 2017 and has had a most recent addition in May of this year. With 41 coins in this set type, attaining 100% completion is a challenge. The Welsh Dragon has worked meticulously to collect some of the top pop Loon Dollars in Specimen, including his 1995 $1 graded NGC SP 70. The Welsh Dragon has risen and met the challenge with 100% completion and comments and images for all coins.

Would you like your set to be chosen for a future feature article? 100% completion in a set type is not always doable. Our team will also feature sets with thoughtful comments and images for all their coins. Perhaps, we will choose someone whose set has a personal story behind it or some interesting historical facts. We are looking for those sets where someone has taken the time to make the set unique and a reflection of his/her personal collecting style. It may be your set! Stay tuned.

The 2019 annual award deadline of December 6, 2019 is fast-approaching, but there is still time to create new set types, upgrade coins in your existing sets and make other updates. Please keep a few key dates in mind. If you wish to have your sets considered for any 2019 annual award, your sets must have been marked as visible, not “obscured,” by July 1, 2019. There is a deadline date of 10 am EST on December 6, 2019 for 2019 NGC Registry award consideration. Winners will be announced on Jan. 10, 2020. Don’t forget, there will be more than $20,000 in prizes awarded for 2019! If you haven’t done so already, create your NGC Registry sets today on NGCcoin.com.
