US and Ancient Coin Auction Underway at CertifiedLink.com

The CertifiedLink.com auction currently underway, which closes on July 9, offers more than 100 NGC-certified US and ancient coins. The US coins range from Half Cents to Double Eagles with grades ranging mostly from About Uncirculated to Mint State. The auction also contains seller consignments of other certified and authenticated collectibles, including baseball cards, movie posters, and certified video games.

The CertifiedLink.com auction is running in conjunction with the ComicLink.com auction which offers up thousands of investment-quality CGC-certified comic books. If you are not already a member of either firm, you can register now to sign up to bid and to be reminded about this auction.

The certified coins include US coins that were issued primarily in the 1800s and early 1900s (with a few more modern examples). Despite being minted many years ago, these third-party-certified coins remain in great shape. Numerous denominations are represented. Among them are Double Eagle gold pieces from the 1800s and early 1900s that carry with them about $1,400 in gold value alone!

Ancients coins include several issued as early as the 300s B.C. that are in remarkable shape! You can acquire ancient Roman and Greek coins and those of numerous other city-states. Here is an opportunity to acquire coins depicting Zeus, Athena and Hercules (Heracles) issued over 2,000 years ago, at a time when these entities were actually still being worshipped! There are also a couple of extremely rare gold pieces issued by the Byzantine Empire from around 1000 A.D. depicting Christ that are in remarkable condition, even one in Mint State.
