NGC-graded Mughal Empire Coin Realizes $71,400

A Mughal Empire Mohur certified by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) realized $71,400 USD at a Stephen Album Rare Coins auction in May. This rare coin, from the time of Shah Alam II (1759-1806) is graded NGC MS 63+. It is an example of a Nazarana coin, which were struck for presentation to the king on special occasions.

- a 1945(B) India Rupee graded NGC PF 62 that realized $11,900

- a 1914 China 20 Cents graded NGC MS 67 that realized $4,760
