John Maben Returns to the Rare

Effective
June 19, 2004, John Maben will be leaving NGC and returning
to the rare coin business as a dealer in U.S. Coins.
He will be operating as John Maben Rare Coins, Inc.
Maben joined NGC as a grader in 1996 and soon advanced
to his most recent position as Vice President and Grading
Finalizer. He was also instrumental in the formation
of Comics Guaranty, LLC (CGC), and Numismatic Conservation
Services (NCS), the only professional numismatic conservation
service. Prior to his employment with NGC, Maben was
a dealer in coins for 18 years.
Of Maben, NGC President Mark Salzberg remarks, "John
is one of the most talented individuals I know. As a
partner, his contributions were many, and he will be
missed."
The entire staff at NGC, NCS and CGC will miss John
and we wish him well.
