Classes for the 2018 Summer Seminar are filling quickly—several are already full! Don’t miss out on the best education in numismatics, period.
Summer Seminar is an opportunity for numismatic scholarship and camaraderie, offering students a wide and varied selection of weeklong courses suited for everyone, from curious beginners to the most advanced numismatists.
The two one-week sessions will be held June 16-28 in Colorado Springs on the campus of Colorado College (adjacent to the ANA).
The following course is instructed by a numismatist from NGC.
Collecting United States Type Coins
This interactive overview explains how to collect US coins by regularly issued types, from half cents through double eagles. Explore the rarity of each design and denomination in relation to grade, as well as the technical aspects of strike and planchet quality and the aesthetics of toning. Students are encouraged to bring their own coins for evaluation and study.
