NGC Highlights from April 2018 Hong Kong, China Auction

NGC-certified coins realized six figures in several auctions held in early April in Asia, including vintage Chinese coins from 1896 and 1911, as well as modern Chinese coins from 1989 and 1993. Here are NGC-certified highlights:

• Lot 40067 - China, 1902-1906 Anhwei Copper Pattern, graded NGC MS 65 BN. Realized: $52,800, beating its pre-auction estimate of $30,000 to $40,000
• Lot 40068 - China, 1902-1906 Anwhei Copper Pattern, graded NGC MS 64 BN. Realized: $40,800, more than double its pre-auction high estimate ($15,000 to $20,000)

• Lot 50056 - China, 1896 Chihli L&M-439 Dollar, graded NGC MS 62 (with a hand-signed Chen Gi Mao signature label). Realized: $180,000, in line with its pre-auction estimate of $150,000 to $200,000
